What intus is

There is no shortage of ways to find out what’s happening in Miami tonight. There is a shortage of anyone telling you which of it is worth your night.

That’s the whole idea. intus doesn’t list Miami — it edits it. We keep up with a short set of rooms and tables: the eight clubs on the calendar, the lounges and bars in the guides, and the restaurants to come. If a place is on intus, we’d go. If it isn’t, there’s a reason, and usually the reason is that your Friday is worth more than that.

The calendar

Every night worth planning around, from the rooms we keep — set times, ticket links, who’s actually playing. It’s checked every morning against the venues themselves, so what you see is what’s real, not what a promoter posted three weeks ago and forgot.

We don’t try to cover every event in the city. Eight rooms, done properly, beats two hundred done from a press release.

The guides

Lounges and bars don’t need a calendar — they need an opinion. Each guide is a hard list: a real take on the room, the practical line (hours, cover, whether to book), and what to actually go there for. No stars. No scores. The list changes when our opinion does.

The Dispatch

The reporting. New openings, what’s closing, the parties that never make a calendar — and, increasingly, the ones you have to know someone to get into. That last part is where this is going.
